Upper Elementary Teacher
SCCLC is seeking highly motivated teachers who will be responsible for providing a nurturing, productive learning environment in keeping with the mission and vision of the school. They will provide day-to-day Christ-centered guidance to the students and will be the primary resources of the school.
Classroom Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver thorough, engaging, Christ-centered lessons consistent with the SCCLC mission and vision.
- Collaborate with students to create and complete cross-disciplinary individual work.
- Plans are consistent with the school’s educational philosophy and instructional methodology.
- Provide a safe, effective, and nurturing classroom learning environment.
- Identify students who are academically at-risk and initiate intervention strategies.
- Attend IEP meetings and oversee the implementation of additional educational support as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the special education and psychology departments.
- Participate in all school-based professional development.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address student learning needs and plan instructional units.
- Participate in school-wide planning to maintain continuity between classrooms and throughout the school.
- Contribute to staff and teacher meetings.
Community Responsibilities:
- Meet with parents on a regular basis and hold parent conferences.
- Participate and lead (as appropriate) field trips.
- Attend and participate in SCCLC community events.
