Like many ministries around the world, TeachBeyond Brazil has been profoundly impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Marco Reis, the board chair for TeachBeyond Brazil, recently shared the following update from the organization:

The COVID-19 crisis is deeply impacting the mission at TeachBeyond Brasil headquarters in Gramado. The Guest House and Camp ministries had all their activities canceled for 60 days, due to the necessary isolation measures enacted by the city government. The financial situation is critical. We have had board meetings daily since April 4. We had to make difficult and quick decisions to avoid the collapse of the institution and the consequent end to all the projects and people that count on us. But we are grateful to God’s faithfulness – we see His powerful hand acting and sustaining us, while our decisions are supported by our colleagues’ sacrifice, creativity, and by the critical response of TeachBeyond Global to our financial need. We invite you to prayerfully consider contributing during this delicate moment for our mission, aware that others are also facing challenges in this crisis.

TeachBeyond Brazil celebrated 50 years of ministry this past fall, and we are excited about the rapidly growing impact of the work throughout Brazil and beyond over the past few years in particular. In light of this unanticipated financial challenge, we are seeking to raise $20,000 USD to help cover the loss of revenue from the pandemic. Will you join us in supporting them at this critical time so that they may be able to effectively continue the work that God is doing through TeachBeyond in Brazil and beyond?
