Belize Christian Academy has been used by God to educate students and transform lives for over 26 years. Due to the recent situation with COVID-19 and the state of emergency mandated from the government of Belize, Belize Christian Academy has had to close its physical facilities. This closure has had a dramatic effect on the school’s finances. BCA relies solely on tuition from our parents, tuition assistance, and outside donations to ensure its continued success. Due to Belize’s dependence on direct and indirect revenue from tourism, the economic impact of the pandemic will be particularly devastating to this country and the families of BCA. Consequently, a number of our families cannot continue to pay their tuition due to job loss or significantly decreased income at this time.

What makes our school unique in Belize is that we receive no outside funding from the government nor other agencies. We have continued to provide education services online, which has been a wonderful success for our current students and their families so far. However, we are facing significant income losses and with severe budget cuts our staff has been placed on reduced salaries for the remainder of the school year. This sacrifice is the only way we can keep our school afloat in this crisis unless we can alleviate the strain with external support. Staff are currently taking a significant reduction in salary in order to continue educating our students. We are seeking to raise $40,000 USD to cover the losses due to the global pandemic. We realize that there are many worthy ministries and non-profits to give to during these trying times. However, we would ask you to prayerfully consider a gift to Belize Christian Academy to meet this critical need and ensure the continued success of this fine school.
