Wave Scholars: La Misión School
The CONAFE School La Misión was founded in 2019 and serves students from the local farming communities. The school operates under the Mexican Department of Education CONAFE program, with financial support from generous donors. In 2022-2023, the school will serve 64 students from pre-kinder through sixth grade. The school is led and staffed by local Christian Mexican teachers who provide a holistic, individualized education. In addition to core academic subjects, the teachers incorporate art, music, and English. 75% of the students had never attended school before attending this school due to economic circumstances and geographical distance. By providing transportation, an individualized learning plan for each student, and family support, the school is giving these students the opportunity for an education. This is a small school filled with great love!
