Academic Coordinator
Job Purpose: Along with the Administrative Director, to provide leadership and oversight of the growth and development of Beyond Inglês. To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the school's educational programs with a conviction and calling to serve the community through transformational educational academic leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing curriculum plans that align with the school's and TeachBeyond’s mission and Christian values.
- Supervising and supporting teaching staff to maintain high teaching standards and student engagement.
- Collaborating with the administrative director to develop academic policies and standards.
- Monitoring student progress and academic performance, and implementing interventions as needed.
- Leading professional development initiatives for teaching staff, focusing on both educational and Christian values.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the overall experience of students and their families.
- Managing inquiries, feedback, and concerns from students and parents in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Recruiting teachers, providing training and orientation.
- Make sure teachers are preparing and correcting lessons according to the school’s developing standards.
Qualifications:
- Certification in TESOL.
- Proficiency in English (native or C1).
- Experience in educational leadership or curriculum development.
- Teaching experience in ESL or related fields, preferably with experience in curriculum design.
- Knowledge of educational best practices and a commitment to ensuring high teaching standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teaching staff, students, and parents.
- Problem-solving abilities to address academic challenges and implement effective interventions.
- An understanding of the school's Christian values and a dedication to integrating them into educational programs.
