Elementary Interventionist
The ESD Interventionist may support students in reading, writing, math, or multiple subject areas. The schedule will depend on the needs of students and may include pull out sessions with specialized curriculum, push in support based on classroom goals, or both. Communication and coordination with the classroom teacher and ESD Student Support Coordinator or Special Ed teacher is essential and communication with parents is also expected.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the ESS coordinator, classroom teacher, and ESD principal to understand, support, and evaluate student needs.
- Utilize testing results, classroom curriculum resources, and intervention materials as needed.
- Work with classroom teachers to support students both in and out of the regular classroom.
- Communicate well with teachers and parents the needs of identified students.
- Be flexible and able to adapt to new curriculum and new learning issues as they arise in the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
- Teacher training and understanding of the progression of content across grade levels in the area of intervention
- Flexibility and willingness to change plans based on the needs of students
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to submit to the decisions of the student support team
- Preferred: experience with intervention materials, including but not limited to Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention for reading

MONTHLY SUPPORT ESTIMATE FOR ONE PERSON: $1600/MONTH
