Facilities Manager
The Facilities Manager contributes to the smooth-running of Sahel Academy, making it a safe and stable environment for learning.
Main Tasks:
- Supervise cleaning and grounds staff
- Mentor and encourage the maintenance department staff
- Maintain the vehicles of the school
- Ensure that the property and materials are in good functioning condition, including up-keep of the generators, electrical, plumbing, and septic systems, water storage tanks and sprinkler systems, grounds, wall-security, building maintenance including roofs, painting, walls, floors, and windows
- Oversee the purchase of materials need for repairs or construction
- Maintain a budget to cover the repair and construction needs
- Contribute expertise and advice to the plan for the physical development of Sahel Academy property and facilities
- Work closely with the Construction Supervisor on construction projects
- Work with sub-contractors as needed
- Coordinate and supervise all maintenance jobs
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents and follow the Matthew 18:15-20 principle in resolving conflict with others (found in the Staff Handbook)
