KICS is USA fully accredited K – 12 distinctively North American Christian school, is seeking a Learning Support Coordinator for the academic year 2024 – 2025.

Qualifications:

• Passion for serving God in the context of education
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree or equivalent degree in Special Education
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in Special Education

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the learning support department and staff
• Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop intervention plans or IEP
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
• Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student’s ability
• Teach and mentor students in small groups and one-on-one
• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress
• Update IEPs on an annual basis to reflect students’ progress and goals
• Discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, and administrators
• Lead, supervise, evaluate and mentor the learning support team in their given roles (para-professionals, LS teachers, ELL teachers)
