Black Forest Academy is seeking to appoint Middle School Teachers to provide quality, Christian, international education for Middle School students in Grades 5-8. Teachers have the opportunity to implement the BFA mission and vision on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work according to the BFA Core Values and Principles for BFA Personnel as described in the Teacher’s Manual and Administrative Policy Manual and to enforce these values within the environment of the school
• Teach courses as assigned by the MS Principal from a Christian worldview in alignment with BFA’s Statement of Faith and Foundational Documents.
• Carry out all assigned duties with professionalism including maintaining a neat and orderly classroom and keeping accurate records for each class
• Teach and serve in a broad range of responsibilities as requested by the Administration
• Work effectively with parents and with the Academic Support Department
• Cooperate with the budget as approved by the Board
• Maintain personal teaching certifications – State or Provincial and/or ACSI
• Cooperate in a professional development program

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
• Completion of a teaching degree or teacher training program is strongly preferred
• ACSI Teacher Certification, or willingness to complete this certification process within the first three years of employment at BFA
