Primary School Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our esteemed team of educators. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education in line with the British curriculum, fostering a love for learning and helping students build a strong educational foundation. The Primary School teacher will provide quality education within the structure and emphasis of the approved curriculum for GIS, in ways that promote the principles of excellence in the provision of Christian education in a multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and implement engaging lessons in accordance with the British National Curriculum, focusing on core subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and other foundational subjects
- Differentiated Instruction: Tailor teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student receives appropriate support and challenges.
- Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed to meet individual learning needs.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, respect, and a love for learning among students.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Encourage and support students to participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and events to enhance their overall educational experience.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a relevant field.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and a dedication to student success.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
A flexible approach is required taking into account the needs of the school. In addition to being present at the school during school hours, teachers are required to be present at Parent-Teacher evenings, school presentations, and appropriate wider community activities, as determined by the Principal.
