We are seeking a passionate and qualified Biology Teacher for KS4 and KS5 (year groups 10-13) to join our esteemed team of educators. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality Biology education in line with the British curriculum, inspiring students to explore the wonders of the natural world.

Purpose of the Post: To provide quality education within the structure and emphasis of the approved Curriculum for Grace in ways that promote the principles of excellence in the provision of Christian education in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging Biology lessons in accordance with the British National Curriculum.
• Practical Laboratory Instruction: Plan and oversee hands-on laboratory experiments, ensuring students gain practical experience and develop skills in scientific inquiry and data analysis.
• Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations to track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Resource Utilization: Effectively use teaching resources, including textbooks, technology, and laboratory equipment, to enhance the learning experience.
• Differentiated Instruction: Tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student has an equal opportunity to succeed.
• Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with fellow educators to integrate Biology concepts with other subjects, fostering a holistic understanding of the natural sciences.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in Biology and teaching methodologies.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Valid teaching certification/licence (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification)
• A passion for serving God through teaching
• Adhere to our Statement of Faith

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience teaching Biology
• Understanding of the English National Curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and a dedication to student success.
• Strong knowledge of assessment practices.

A flexible approach is required taking into account the needs of the school. In addition to being present at the school during school hours. Teachers are required to be present at Teacher/ Partent evenings, School Presentations, and appropriate wider community activities, as determined by the principal.
