KICS is USA fully accredited K – 12 distinctively North American Christian school, is seeking a mission driven Secondary English Language Arts Teacher for the academic year 2024 – 2025.

Qualifications: 

• Passion for serving God in the context of education 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with English emphasis
• ACSI certification or ability to obtain 
• Experience teaching US curriculum at the secondary level 

Responsibilities: 

• Teach assigned ELA courses 
• Collaborats with department, high school team, and administration around student progress 
• Prepare students for AP exams 
• Complete and implement effective lessons and teaching strategies
• Follow grading policies 
• Use data from NWEA MAP and benchmark assessments to guide instruction and support students 
• Follow the curriculum map and standards for each course and grade level
• Prepares student for university level English in reading and writing
• Follow discipline system and use PBIS, Love & Logic, and Restorative Practices
• Other duties and courses as assigned
