Amano Christian School is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to teach at the Secondary School level. The secondary classes are on average 10 students, which makes it easy to do many practicals and help individual students. Science classes are generally one hour in length and offered 2 or 3 times a week. Students in grades 8 to 10 are required to take physics, chemistry and biology each year. Students in grades 11 and 12 students are able to select which science classes they prefer to take. Amano has two science lab classrooms. One of the labs is equiped for practicals with gas, chemicals, and many different types of equipment.

Amano Christian School follows the British Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. Our unique Christian Foundation program, which aims at taking students through the Bible and its key messages, is taught throughout Grades 1 to 12. Students at Amano have the opportunity to participate in after school clubs and various other activities such as sports, youth group, and field trips. 

Amano follows a year-round school schedule, starting in January and ending in December. We have three terms, each approximately 12 weeks long with a one week half-term break in the middle, and then followed by one month holiday intervals.

• Faculty members should be committed to provide a high standard of education and ensure that the Biblical worldview is taught.
• Faculty members are required to hold a teaching certification and be proficient in English.
• Staff are required to provide support in extra duties on weekends and/or other events when needed.
