KICS is USA fully accredited K – 12 distinctively North American Christian school, is seeking mission driven Teaching and Learning Coordinator for the academic year 2024 – 2025. Depending on qualifications and experience, could adjust to Director of Academics and a supervisory role.

Qualifications:

• Passion for serving God in the context of education
• Bachelor's Degree in Education (primary or secondary)
• Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction
• At least five years of successful teaching experience
• ACSI certification (preferred)
• Deep understanding of Common Core State Standards K-12 and AP

Responsibilities: 

• Stay up to date on research regarding teaching methodologies, teaching strategies, and curriculum development
• Oversee curriculum development from pre-k through grade 12  
• Supervise the curriculum review process on a 5-6 year cycle 
• Work with our primary and secondary teams to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment are taking place across all subject areas
• Ensure that staff and students have all needed resources
• Supervise the development and maintenance of curriculum maps
• Assist principals in developing strategies to ensure the fidelity of the written curriculum
• Administer the acquisition and distribution of textbooks, software, and other resources which support the curriculum
• Interpret and review curriculum development procedures 
• Serve as the curriculum advisor to the Board of Trustees
• Oversee the professional development efforts in order to fully equip staff
• Coordinate school-wide training and in-service for full days and half days
• Oversee the coaching/training of instructional staff and ensure they are equipped for success
• Oversee school wide data analysis and make recommendations for school improvement
• Utilize data to inform school wide decision-making processes
• Oversee various testing from Pre-K to G12 and collaborate with the registrar for implementation
• Oversee the completion of annual accreditation reports and school-wide appraisal system.
• Coordinate school accreditation visits and follow-up
