Team Lead/Chaplain
Major Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Shepherd, disciple, and oversee the theological and spiritual development of all staff
- Coordinate/plan the organization of Sunday services.
- Serve as a leader or consultant for extracurricular outreach programs directed toward students (e.g. youth group, Elementary/Middle School clubs).
- Initiate or coordinate community service in which staff and/or students may actively participate.
- Organize staff Bible studies.
- Coordinate guest/spiritual speakers and work closely with HR for their approval process.
- Work with staff as needed in dealing with crisis situations and/or emotional/behavioral disorders in the classroom and dormitory.
- Initiate or encourage activities to promote staff/student unity.
- Provide personal and pastoral counseling/intervention with staff and/or related parents.
- Facilitate the formation of support groups, as needed.
- Develop cooperative relationships with community leaders as a means of promoting mutual understanding and service.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and local missions/churches.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan weekly Sunday morning worship services.
- Administer staff surveys at the beginning of each new school year to determine staff needs and interests in Bible studies and support groups, and then facilitate their initiation.
- Consult with local religious leaders for annual service opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have been a born again Christian for at least 5 years, demonstrate a Christ-like testimony, and have served in a pastoral role for a minimum of 3 years.
- Must be a Seminary graduate
- Must possess Christian leadership abilities.
- Show evidence of ability to develop a rapport with children, teens, and adults.
- Must be sensitive to a variety of denominational positions.

Strongly preferred qualifications:
- A 4 year commitment is strongly preferred
- Married couple so that the spouse can provide appropriate support
- Degree in Christian/Biblical Counseling (Pastoral or Marriage & Family)
- A minimum of two years counseling experience is preferred
- Experience in administrative and/or leadership roles
