International School of the Caucasus

International School of the Caucasus (ISOC) is a dynamic and developing international school serving global nomads and their families in Central Asia – where East meets West, and ancient and modern blend together.

ISOC was founded in 2005 by a group of international parents as a homeschool co-op. Since then it has grown into a K-12 international school serving the faith-based expatriate community. The school normally has about 75 students from 10 different nationalities, and about 30 faculty members from Europe and North America.

Academics are based on an American curricular foundation. Group sizes are small and some elementary classes are taught in combined grades. We are a close-knit community committed to growing students academically, socially, and spiritually.

Most of our students are here because their families are in the region for Great Commission work. One of the biggest challenges expat families face is getting quality education in overseas environments, especially as their children reach middle and high school years. The primary focus of ISOC is the education of the children of families called to ministry in this country, thereby enabling them to remain on the field.

Whether you join us for one year, a three-year term or a lifetime, you can make a strategic impact serving in a vital role as an educator.  We are strongly committed to hiring only faculty members who have a personal relationship with the Lord, live as mature believers and will teach from a Biblical worldview. All of our international teachers serve here as sent workers and are expected to raise their own monthly support for living expenses. The school covers travel expenses to and from the country, as well as visa costs for full-time teachers.
